It's Happening....

At ultrasound today and Zoey wasn't moving around like she should, got sent to labor and delivery for monitoring and even though she was looking great.... They decided it was time to start my induction. I'm now laying in the hospital bed, having contractions after my second dose of cryotec was given. This is supposed to soften my cervix, then I can get checked for dilation in a few hours.

So yeah, this is happening. I'll try and keep this updated with my labor story as we go. Zoey will probably be here today (seeing as it's 3am) December 21st 2019. 12/21/19

3 Months & COVID-19

The world is chaotic right now... just in time for little Miss Zoey Bear to turn 3 months! It's flying by. Right now she is finding her hands, munching on them, starting to hold onto things and loves to play with her soft books (mostly chew on them). Interacting with her is SO much fun and there is nothing better than to see her smile at you. Chris always melts when she smiles at him, he knows he is in for it! Right now we are in the middle of a new pandemic called COVID-19 (corona virus) and the country is being told to stay away from groups of 10 or more (some parts of the country - like New York - are told to stay indoors except for essentials). It's a strange world out there right now. Luckily, nothing much has changed over here since I am working from home and we barely were going out much anyways (with baby and all). I went to the grocery store to stock up on some food and the aisles were bare... No meats, paper goods, rice, canned goods and very little pasta among othe...

13 Weeks! 🤗

Yikes, it's been a quick week. At the start, I felt everything was moving as slow as molasses but not this past week.... Which has flown by for some reason. Things happening: 1. Saw the Gestational Diabetes nurse, I had a higher than normal A1C in my blood work so the OBGYN referred me to this clinic to start monitoring my blood glucose numbers. I got quite an earful on how I should be changing my eating habits and checking my levels (finger pricking) 4x a day. Fun, fun! I went grocery shopping and it cost me double what I normally pay (and less things Chris will even eat) which was a bummer. Hopefully I can manage to maintain it so they don't have to put me on insulin. Sometimes, even if you do your best, it's inevitable and the placenta and hormones cause so many issues, it's needed no matter how healthy you are eating. 2. No more Nausea! 3. My Marsha Bear had her little girl ❤️ and I can't wait to meet her in person. 4. OBGYN lost my blood wo...
