Breastfeeding Class

I wanted to make this post it's own thing, mainly for my own reference and to look back on all the things we learned during this class. I have to mention the little "incident" that happened on the way to the class though.... Chris and I arrived early and had the instructions to park in lot C or B (something like that anyways) and then we entered through the first entrance we saw connected to the parking lot. We asked the information desk where the class would be held and he navigated us to the "maternity ward". Without thinking twice, we went down the hall and buzzed to be let in. Obviously, if we had thought about it... they probably wouldn't be holding classes in the area of the hospital people were having babies and recovering in. The nurses at the desk told us we'd have to go across the parking lot to the other building (i guess next to the parking lot we were in). On the way out, I got slightly confused as we were "locked in" and went to

24 & 25 Weeks - Chaos

Slacking over here. It's been a little chaotic these last 2 weeks. I've been making sure everything was perfect for the big move into our new apartment and the day before it crumbled. We finally were allowed to walk-through the actual apartment the day before and while inside, I noticed.... I didn't have ANY service with my work or personal cell phone (both Verizon). Then the agent proceeded to let us know that it's common for these back apartments to not get service.... What?! I work from home, so that just wasn't going to work out. We ended up pulling out and figured we spend the following day scrambling to find a new place. Halfway through the day, the original apartment place calls us and says we can have a different 2 BR 1st floor that just opened up near the front of the complex. We checked it out the next day and VOILA... It has cell service and a better location (right next to the dog park and a view of the lake from the back porch). Sold! So now we have to

23 Weeks - Anniversary and Kicks!

Yesterday was our 1 year wedding Anniversary! I can't believe it's gone by so quick. Unfortunately, I picked up a nasty cold in Connecticut right before coming home so we spent the time on the couch. He was so nice and catered to me all night though! Also, he finally felt her kick! He thought it was super strange and made a face, telling me I have an Alien inside me. It made me laugh. I believe Danny (Marsha's husband) had almost the same reaction, lol. I don't have much to say but that she's kicking like crazy. Here's a few "reunion" pics from when I got back home. My pups are definitely happy I'm back!

22 Weeks - Baby Shower & CT visit!

This past week was wonderful, I got to see so many of my loved ones. The trip to CT was long but fun. We listened to an audio-book of the next "book club" pick, "The Great Alone" by Kristin Hannah. We listened to half on the way to CT and the other half on the way back home. It was an epic story that made me tear up quite a few times. But... you aren't here about books! Baby Zoey! She was celebrated like crazy the day after we arrived in Connecticut. It was quite a whirlwind and overwhelming to say the least. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful family AND just as wonderful extended family now!! My Aunt Debbie, Mother-in-law, Aunt Diane and even my girls (Marsha and Arianna) helped out to make it a wonderful event. I'll post a bunch of pictures that had been sent to me (maybe more to come in a future post because I believe there are more floating out there). The rest of the trip went really well, just not enough time to fit everyone in. I wish I could
