21 Weeks - Kicking and Moving!

This week has been fun. For some reason I'm feeling her like crazy. She is kicking and moving and I even felt her kick from feeling my tummy on the outside (only once but it was unmistakable). I am hoping to get Chris to feel her before I leave for Connecticut. I think he'd be pretty disappointed if he wasn't the first. It's one of my favorite bits of being pregnant so far. She is most active when I'm sitting down (at the computer for work), watching TV or laying down in bed. I think she just likes it when I'm up and moving, maybe it lulls her to sleep? I am counting down the days until my CT visit and also I've started packing for our move. I can't believe how many books I have! It doesn't look like a lot on the shelf but when you try and pack them... a different story. What else? I've been working on trying to find the right pediatrician for Zoey... who knew you had to interview candidates?!? Why don't they do this for regular doctors,

20 Weeks & Anatomy Scan

She passed! She is healthy, has everything where is should be, nothing out of the ordinary seen! I am thrilled. I never knew how nervous you can get until you have a baby growing inside of you, what a nervous wreck I've become. I guess this is what all mothers talk about... how they are constantly worrying and always on edge. I'm just so happy she is healthy. I've attached quite a few of the ultrasound pics below. I've definitely been feeling her, it's very low... not where I was expecting to feel the flutters but the ultrasound technician said it's because of the way she's positioned. It's her legs kicking me towards the crotch... ouch, when that happens... it's exactly what they call it - LIGHTING CROTCH! She gets me in that cervical nerve or whatever and it's like a jolt down there. I wonder if that's how it feels when a guy gets punched down there, lol. At least it goes away quickly. What else happened this week? We went to an abstrac

19 Weeks

Hello everyone! I'm slacking on posting this week. I'm going through some terrible tooth pain, I have a molar that will need a crown. It's caused my blood sugars to rise which has made me increase my insulin dosage. It's been a hard week. I feel like I can't eat anything without bad numbers. The doctor said that stress and pain can contribute to higher blood sugars, so hopefully once my tooth is fixed I'll feel better. I'm dying for Monday and the anatomy scan... It's been torture waiting for that. In the meantime, I've made lots of progress on the baby blanket for Zoey. I had my hair professionally cut and dyed (thanks to my MIL) and we are close to moving! So many things happening. The one I'm looking forward to the most is my trip to Connecticut! I'm going to end this here... Sorry I couldn't spend more time with the update but I'll be feeling better soon! Oh, second picture is of a gorgeous emerald colored moth in our apa

18 Weeks - Baby Artichoke

I felt her! I think!? It was definitely "fluttering" as many describe. I wish I could feel her more! This week has been hectic, mostly at work. I've been backed up and stressed which is definitely giving me more aches. I've been getting migraines and tension headaches, my neck and head have been feeling awful. Today and yesterday weren't so bad. I did stop taking my B-Complex vitamin and stuck with the B-12 prescribed to me as well as the prenatal. Might be too much B? Is that even a thing? AND... we put a hold on a new two bedroom apartment in Lake Wylie, SC. It's nice and remote and the unit faces the woods, very private. It's also right next to the walking trails that leads to a kayak storage and dock. I'm actually pretty excited about that, I'd be down to buy a set and get on the water with my husband! It's great that we'll be getting the two bedroom because now I can decorate a nursery (hello... nesting, haha).  I'll attach some
