19 Weeks

Hello everyone! I'm slacking on posting this week. I'm going through some terrible tooth pain, I have a molar that will need a crown. It's caused my blood sugars to rise which has made me increase my insulin dosage. It's been a hard week. I feel like I can't eat anything without bad numbers. The doctor said that stress and pain can contribute to higher blood sugars, so hopefully once my tooth is fixed I'll feel better. I'm dying for Monday and the anatomy scan... It's been torture waiting for that. In the meantime, I've made lots of progress on the baby blanket for Zoey. I had my hair professionally cut and dyed (thanks to my MIL) and we are close to moving! So many things happening. The one I'm looking forward to the most is my trip to Connecticut! I'm going to end this here... Sorry I couldn't spend more time with the update but I'll be feeling better soon! Oh, second picture is of a gorgeous emerald colored moth in our apa...

14 Weeks!

I know I said I'd more than likely have that fun boy/girl news... Didn't happen. Still waiting... Such torture. I want to know! Then I can talk to you (lil Bug) with your name.... That'll be nice. I guess this week marks the official second trimester, whoop whoop. 🤰 I'm eating healthier, my fasting numbers haven't been great which means I'll probably end up on insulin at night. I have an appointment with the doctor for this on Wednesday. I feel great though. Haven't gained any weight yet, but it's probably due to the fact that I'm being more active and healthy. I have had quite a few headaches lately, nothing crazy. I am dying to feel you in there... I can't wait to start feeling those flutters everyone talks about... The pop, pop, bubbles. Should be soon according to Google. Not much else going on this week other than getting to visit with Aunt Dawn, Uncle Mike and Brie while they were visiting. That was exciting. I'm missi...

13 Weeks! 🤗

Yikes, it's been a quick week. At the start, I felt everything was moving as slow as molasses but not this past week.... Which has flown by for some reason. Things happening: 1. Saw the Gestational Diabetes nurse, I had a higher than normal A1C in my blood work so the OBGYN referred me to this clinic to start monitoring my blood glucose numbers. I got quite an earful on how I should be changing my eating habits and checking my levels (finger pricking) 4x a day. Fun, fun! I went grocery shopping and it cost me double what I normally pay (and less things Chris will even eat) which was a bummer. Hopefully I can manage to maintain it so they don't have to put me on insulin. Sometimes, even if you do your best, it's inevitable and the placenta and hormones cause so many issues, it's needed no matter how healthy you are eating. 2. No more Nausea! 3. My Marsha Bear had her little girl ❤️ and I can't wait to meet her in person. 4. OBGYN lost my blood wo...
